Data Scientist

Hakob Avjyan brings more than 5 years of leadership with federal civilian/healthcare, defense, intelligence, and the private sector working as a data scientist executing data-driven solutions to increase efficiency, accuracy, and data processing. Hakob has vast experience creating and deploying ML models, Natural Language Processing (NLP), and Artificial Neural Networks (ANNs). He is passionate about helping customers preprocess and pars through copious amounts of structured and unstructured data to build machine learning (ML) models. He implements data-driven solutions to increase the efficiency, accuracy, and utility of internal data processing. He adds valuable experience creating data regression models, using predictive data modeling, and analyzing data mining algorithms to deliver insights and implement action-oriented solutions to complex business problems.

He has a BS in psychology, master’s in military psychology, and continued his education at General Assembly DC. He successfully graduated from a program providing a foundational education in the entire data science workflow and is highly passionate about artificial intelligence and human behavior.

Recently, he worked on an NOAA project that involved utilizing artificial intelligence to detect coastline changes from high-resolution satellite imagery. He is also working closely with USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) to evaluate and assess their software development lifecycle utilizing advanced data analytics and visualization techniques.
